would you give Gray 1 more week? Want to do TT to Rocky and the boost Gray up to either Pendles or Dangerfield

    • Screech

      May 29, 2018 at 3:36 pm

yes you would have to give him one more week. during the byes there isn’t much harm in having both. r gray likely to kick 5 anyway and ton up…i’m sure you have other people on the field. wait and see if danger gets dpp first…

      • CJ

        May 29, 2018 at 5:25 pm

yeah I’m hoping danger gets dpp so I can move him to the fwd line and potentially upgrade gray in the mids after the byes

Good ol Lee Gaskin. “…Seedsman kicking the footy around. Adductor injury can’t be that serious.”

The only player that I really want off my field is T Cole. Do I get a rookie like Austin or go for a “premium” such as Gus Brayshaw. As it is a DEF I need to get I might have to wait a week on Rocky…

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, J Howe, Doedee, T Cole (Keeffe, Duman)
MID: Mitchell, Merrett, Neale, Congilio, Fyfe, Macrae, Sidebottom, E Phillips (A Brayshaw, Banfield)
    RUC: Martin, Gawn (McInerney, Jones)
FWD: Walters, FRitsch, D SMith, Guelfi, E LAngdon, Heeney (D Clarke, Crowden)\\

Lot’s of issues with this team I know.

I am ranked 824 now, it’s the best I’ve been ever. Thoughts most appreciated thanks.

Not as many issues as you believe,
You haven’t told me your bank balance so help with trades is limited,

You want to hold a mid rookie for the byes, id be trading Brayshaw to someone like Austin and then bring in a player like Luke Ryan, Brayshaw or Webster,

    • PowerAde

      May 30, 2018 at 3:22 pm

I would get rid of Brayshaw and Cole for rocky and Austin or Rice

Rocky on ground with Philips on bench makes that midfield elite IMO

DEF: Laird, Yeo, Lloyd, Whitfield, Ryan, Doedee (Rice, Murphy)
MID: Macrae, Mitchell, Fyfe, Coniglio, Merrett, Kelly, Phillips, Banfield (Coffield, Mutch)
    RUCK: Martin, Gawn (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Heeney, Smith, Taranto, Ronke, Guelfi (Giles-Langdon, Spargo)

    Cash: $225k

Currently have gone Taranto to Rockliff and Murphy (via DPP) to Smith. Then I DPP Rockliff and Spargo benching Banfield and fielding Rocky, having 3 rookies in the FWDS. Thoughts on trades and other options?

What is the chances Danger is a forward next week? His heat maps show he is 50/50 for possession across defensive half and forward half.

Dusty is at 37/63. He would be a good F6 at his price.

    • DBoms

      May 30, 2018 at 2:39 pm

Heat maps aren’t everything. Dusty will not be DPP.

So what do we do to find out the possibility off a player getting dual positions?

Where he gets his touches would be the way wouldn’t it? My trades are looking at these options.

Is sam Powell-Pepper an option through the byes, could do Taranto to Rocky and Tim Kelly to someone for only 524k or less

    • Another Arctic Flying wombat Panda of Doom named Drowning fish

      May 30, 2018 at 2:50 pm

Look further pal, Rocky is a good trade in but Powell pepper is not a good partner for that double trade

Another great week this week but stuck on trades to complete this week, ranked in the 1k overall and looking to do well this week

    AFL FANTASY, 34k remaining!!!!

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Whitfield, Simpson, Blakely, Mirra (Finlayson, Pearce)
MID: Mitchell, Curnow, Gibbs, Neale, Merrett, Duncan, Kelly, Phillips (Ship, Clarke)
    RUC: Stef, Gawn (Frampton, Cameron)
FWD: Heeney, Mclean, Robinson, Christensen, Spargo, Guelfi (ZGL, Venebles)

    I am thinking of:
    Finlayson – Rice
    Kelly – Rocky

Thoghts and advice is much appreciated :)

I think you planned trades are good. Rocky has bottomed out & Kelly has topped out so perfect timing on that one.

Looking ahead to R12 (not discussing DPPs)

Who are the Mid Price Madness blokes that you’re looking at potentially having to get over the byes? Range: $280K to $550K Would you consider overpriced rookies (e.g. like a Tim Smith, Ben Ronke) or prefer true Mid Pricers (e.g. Ah Chee, Bonner, DBJ, etc)?

    • Another Arctic Flying wombat Panda of Doom named Drowning fish

      May 30, 2018 at 2:39 pm

Tbh, if you haven’t suffered too much karnage, Bundy should be traded round 12, and then you should be rolling with mostly premiums and a few rooks,

So my non premiums (on field) are Tim smith, Ronke, Bundy, Doedee and thats it,

Ah chee, Bonner, DBJ i believe are too inconsistent,

This is a look into my structure but relates to your question.

        May 30, 2018 at 2:44 pm

Thanks AAFWPoDDF. Was just floating an idea in my head and wondering if anyone else was running with it.

ATM, the only rookies I have floating about are Doedee, Phillips, Rioli, and Rice, which I’ll be running with and then upgrading. Oh, and with Fritsch almost becoming a keeper (until DPPs get named).

  9. Another Arctic Flying wombat Panda of Doom named Drowning fish

    May 30, 2018 at 2:59 pm

    For reference to anyone-
My team is as follows (post rd 11 trades)

Laird, Ryan, Tuohy, Yeo, Brayshaw, Doedee (Rice, Murphy)

Titch, Danger, Coniglio, Merrett, Neale, Rocky, Caddy, DaisyThomas (Banfield, Worpel)

    Gawn, Nank, McInerny, Cameron)

McLean, Smith, Hogan, Christensen, Ronke, TSmith (Crowden, Langdon )
    With 87k in the bank,

Ideally, you should be with around 17-18 premiums on the field, otherwise you’ll be coughing up points from rookies who don’t perform week in week out like experience on-ballers.

    May 30, 2018 at 5:05 pm

    Contoversial but;

What are your thoughts of having Gawn as captain? He’s up against a ruckless Dogs, he’s set to go 120+ surely?

    • Another Arctic Flying wombat Panda of Doom named Drowning fish

      May 30, 2018 at 5:40 pm

I had him as captain last week, I’m not trusting him again,

    • j

      May 30, 2018 at 6:18 pm

Some of Gawn’s reduce output over the past 2 weeks compared to his average might be due to Smith taking a few hitouts with the forward role, reducing Gawn’s role there too. He might go 120…might, but surely you can find safer captain options

      • Wathen FC

        May 30, 2018 at 6:29 pm

Yeah but this should be different this time considering the last two weeks he’s been up against recognised ruckmen (Sauce and Kreuzer). History says he hasn’t been too good against the Dogs, however it’s under the roof and he’s managed to pump out some good scores there (NOT INCLUDING HIS INJURY, last three: 111, 135, 111)

        • j

          May 30, 2018 at 7:46 pm

That’s good research. But also note that Gawn got 49 hitouts vs. Jacobs, a real ruckman, while Grundy managed only 38 vs. the ruckless dogs. The upper limit for hitouts ever by Gawn, regardless of if he’s playing against ruck or ruckless teams, is 66. Hence, Gawn getting 49 hitouts is already an above-the-average result this season.

Based on a these numbers, IF (big maybe) there is also Smith factor involved, then Gawn will almost need to double his possessions from last week just to crack 120. Especially, he needs to start marking the ball again. Last week he had zero marks.

My two cents: he’s just too risky based on recent stats, and that you should look elsewhere for a captain option. But sometimes you also gotta risk it to get the biscuit: Gawn might make for a unique captain option, that works out, given few others will be prepared to back him in after his 74 last week.

  11. Ryan

    May 30, 2018 at 5:41 pm

Def: Loyd,Simpson, Laird, Seedsman, Murray, Ridley (pearce, cummings)
Mid: Macrae, Mitchell, Treloar, Coniglio, Neale, Martin, Merritt (Mutch, coffield)
    Gawn, Grundy, (Frampton, Cameron)
Fwd:Mclean, Heeney, Fritsch, Spargo, Guelfi, Ronke (higgins, waterman)

I’m thinking Seedsman & Murray > Brayshaw 7 Tim smith (coffield dpp, field Spargo) bank 265k for next week; Kelly to Rocky and another upgrade..

With seedsman out AND Murray (dont think he’ll play) it’s hard to get rocky this week.. my defense bench cover is shot..

I may have to be one that waits..

    Thoughts on alternatives? Thanks

    Yeo vs simpsom

Yeo. He’s been less yo-yo than Simpson this year.

Big move, but do I miss Rocky this week (probably get him next week) so I can get the best rookies in Tim Smith and Bailey Rice? This would mean my trades are:

    Murray —> Rice
    Kelly —> T Smith

Otherwise I would be going Rocky instead of T Smith?

Crouch, Taranto, crisp vs Josh Kelly, caddy and suckling who wins that trade,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my team’s trades this week are showing as 31(2) left whereas my wife’s team shows 29(2). WTF is going on there!?

    Option 1 or 2

    1. Kelly to Rocky and Banfield to Tim Smith (Ridley on field)

    2. Taranto to Yeo and Banfield to Tim Smith (Ronke on field)

    Thoughts Appreciated

    My trades this week

    Murray > Brayshaw
    Kelly > Rocky

Question is who to field from my rookies.

    1 of Philips,Stephensen, Spargo.
    1 of Ronke, T.smith, Guelfi

      Philips and Smith

    May 31, 2018 at 11:19 pm

    DEF: Laird,Lloyd,Yeo,Simpson,Blakely,Rice(Pearce,Naughton)
    MID: Titch,Coniglio,Sidebottom,Gibbs,Danger,Parker,Merrett,T.Kelly(Phillips,Clarke)
    RUC: Gawn,Jacobs(McInerney,Cameron)
    FWD: McLean,Heeney,Billings,Ronke,Guelfi,Fritsch(Rioli,Gowers)

    $50k in the chest
Current trades are: Billings > Rocky & Gowers > Giro via DPP
    Leaves about $192k

    Any other possible trades ??

    • Lewie-14

      May 31, 2018 at 11:23 pm

Or trade Kelly to Giro / Ahern leaving me $310k for next week ?

  21. Alexfish

    June 1, 2018 at 12:38 am

Back : Laird, Yeo, Sicily, Brayshaw (love you gus), Hibberd, Doedee [Ridley, Coffield]

Mid: Treloar, Fyfe, Oliver, Danger, Cripps, Merrett, Kennedy, T. Kelly [E Phillips, Baby Brayshaw]

Ruck: Gawn, Nic Nat [Hunter, Cameron]

Forward: Heeney, Taranto, Fritsch, Henry, Ronke, Spargo [Gray, Keefe]

99k in the bank. Pretty happy with my performance of 2241 as I’ve been fixing a lot of mistakes but obviously was lucky with a few like Henry and Brayshaw going nuts.

Was looking to go Kelly -> Walters, Taranto -> Rocky
to selfish with the double upgrade? Should keep Taranto and get Giro?

  22. Jon

    June 1, 2018 at 10:52 am

Cant decide whether i bring in Danger or Mclean this week?
    Danger = 699k 99BE vs GC
    Mclean = 732k 80BE vs MEL

will mclean be able to score high against demons or should i go safe with danger?
