Best Mid under $600k to make value to eventually upgrade premium. Currently looking at Dale Thomas, in form and BE of 39. Thoughts/other options?

    • Simon

      May 15, 2018 at 11:10 am

Zorko (though he’s dead to me) and Rockliff would be in front of Daisy I reckon. There’s risk with all of them though… they’re under $600k for a reason

      De Goey exceptional value too

    Help Help

Def: Laird Lloyd Ryan Murray Doedee Finlayson (Keefe/Pearce)
Mid: Titch Cogs Treloar Cripps Dusty Zerrett Kelly Banfield (Barry/Mutch)
    Ruck: Gawn Jacobs (McInernay/Cameron)
Fwd: McLean Taranto Smith Heeney Christensen Guelfi (Crowden/Higgins)

    1) Jacobs > Sinclair & Barry > Phillips $52k left
    2) Jacobs > Kreuzer & Barry > Phillips $61k left
    3) Jacobs > Sinclair & Banfield > Phillips $139k
    4) Any other suggestions

Laird, Ryan, doedee, Murray, Coffield, O’Shea (Mirra, Murphy)

MacRae, titch , cogs, hunter, Neale, Gibbs, Kelly, mutch (Banfield, Finlayson)

    Gawn, Grundy (McInerney, Cameron)

McLean, Heeney, Smith, Taranto, Fritsch, Spargo (florent, guelfi)

Only 32k , initially wanted to double DG Banfield and O’Shea to Phillips and Ainsworth but tossing up Finlayson to Phillips n doedee to Sicily because of the weakarse def n hope for some double DG meat next week. Thoughts? Cheers

DEF:Laird, Seedsman, Sicily, Hurn, Lloyd, Murray (Doedee, Murphy)
MID:Titch, Cogs, Neale, Zerrett, Bont, Parker, Kelly, Phillips (Ainsworth, Mutch)
    RUC:Gawn, Nic Nat (Mcinerney, Cameron)
FWD:McLean, Heeney, Smith, Robinson, Taranto, Fristch (ZGL, Guelfi)

Billings has to go, cant handle his scores anymore.
    Naughton (was D7) – Ainsworth
    Billings (was F5) – Sicily

Thoughts on Ainsworth, is he going to keep his spot?
Thoughts on Sicily vs Yeo as well, hard to split them.

Big shout out to Fritsch who has been getting it done the past 3 weeks, and Mcinerneys 84 covering Nic Nat on the weekend!

    • DBoms

      May 15, 2018 at 9:41 am

Ainsworth will stay in the short term, but will lose his spot for Shuey… So he probably won’t be there throughout the byes.

Personally I would go Cumming ahead of Ainsworth.

      • Kingzy

        May 15, 2018 at 10:06 am

Yea true, that is also my worry.
But his bye round suits my bye structure, and allows me to bench Doedee and field Phillips in the MID.

Lets hope Kieran Lovell is named this week, that would be great!

  5. Confused

Best option between Yeo & Simpson? Would have preferred to trade out Finlayson this week but to get Yeo I need to trade out Doedee.

I know that I probably need both Yeo & Simpson and hope to get the other one next week anyway but things never go to plan and need to decide on who I should get first.

    • Kingzy

      May 15, 2018 at 11:13 am

Id go Yeo mate, he is dominating this year and better team

    • Pepperoni Pizza

      May 16, 2018 at 5:22 pm

I have been thinking the exact same thing and have to trade Doedee over Finlayson too to afford Yeo ($1k short). I agree we need both and I plan to get the other next week too. My only concern with Yeo this week is if the eagles send Yeo to Dusty to tag and then Dusty is sent forward and Yeo sticks with him down back. Eagles coach mentioned Yeo as a possible run with role against Dusty if they decide to tag him.

    It’s not often I consider a double-down that seems like a winner.
(yes I know he’s got a bye coming far too soon, but)

    Banfield > Phillips
    JOM > Rockliff

Leaves me with $228K in the bank.

90k in the bank. Looking at doing Coffield > Cumming and Banfield > Matt Crouch. Leaving 15k. Thoughts?

Thinking of either going Banfield- 170k (Ahern or Clarke) then Doedee – Sic dog OR

Banfield- 170k( Ahern or Clarke) then Rayner – Ronke or is it to late to jump on?

Laird, Lloyd, Hibbard, Doedee, Murray, Coffield (Pearce,Mirra)

Titch, Gibbs, Jelwood, Neale, Merrett, JPK, Mutch, Kelly( Banfield, Phillips)

Don’t need to look over your team if you have it memorised along with prices, break evens and approximate price rise.

Makes getting to sleep hard though when you’re slinging trades around in the next 3-4 weeks, in your head.

Thoughts or anyone got better ideas?

    • DBoms

      May 16, 2018 at 11:44 am

It’s fine for this week, although I would adjust your second trade idea for next week.

Your mids are already strong enough, no need to upgrade Kelly yet. You’re better off upgrading in your forwards, you’ve only got 1 premo there (assuming Taranto is considered a premium forward).
I’d be looking at Chrisensen up to someone next week, then the following week upgrading in the forwards again to bring in Rocky.

    • DBoms

85-90 With no Shuey and Sheed

75 with Shuey and Sheed, if he remains in the team

    • Bjorn

      May 16, 2018 at 11:50 am

Don’t know too much about Brendon, but in 3 years at afl level his best was 66 average from 11 games in 2016. In the sanfl he’s averaged 92 for last 3 consecutive years, and this year he’s played 3 games in the wafl for 85 average. Think anything over 80 is probably unlikely.

      • McLean

        May 16, 2018 at 6:37 pm

Will rotate between mid and half forward revardless of who’s in the team. Can possibly push an average of low 80’s but eagles do have some tougher games coming up. By all means wonmt be a keeper but can easily slot in f4/5 until his bye should stay in the side. would think hutchings goes before him and eagles recruited him for a reason.

Banfield to Ed Phillips looks sold to me as first trade

Any options to go with for second trade??

    Want to rid of:

    Maybe Murray

Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

    • DBoms

      May 16, 2018 at 12:55 pm

Why on Earth would you want to get rid of Murray?

Your cash generation is shot – I’d be looking to fix that up ASAP.
Mirra, Shipley, O’Connor, Venables all aren’t playing. I’d be trying to get some cash back into your team – trade out 2 of those for 2 cheap rookies (Phillips + Cumming/Keefe/Clarke or Ahern I’d named).

      • Booooom Time

        May 16, 2018 at 2:04 pm

I like your thinking. I’m doing that this week too. Currently sitting at 213th and need some more cash generation to keep up the charge.
Nailed 3rd last week, Mutch cost me thee top spot.
        Worpel to Philips
Considering the downgrade on Pearce to Cumming if he gets named. Already have a swinger between Keefe and Murphy
174k in bank before this so will have 303k plus a bench making some money . Bring back Murphy in place of Poholke please Adelaide 🙏🏻

    May 16, 2018 at 4:37 pm

    Two things:

1 – Would you get Clarke in over Phillips?
2 – NANKERVIS —– noooooooooo! I don’t have cover. Big O, or Crossley? Jeez it’d be nice if Cameron gets a gig.

  36. Dylan

    May 16, 2018 at 5:50 pm

Is it worth doing Banfield to Clarke this week instead of trading out Naughton to Cumming. Would mean trading out Naughton next week

  37. Bomber Thompson

    May 16, 2018 at 6:25 pm

With Clarke to debut and Hurley injured, my current predicament still stands. I want to get Ed Phillips in, so an easy trade of Naughton -> Phillips via dpp would work. My second trade is more difficult. I could trade Hurley to Ronke via dpp which leaves me with 542k, for two upgrades of Doedee -> Sicily and Finlayson -> Yeo next week, but unfortunately means fielding the 4 rookies in defence this week. Or I could hold Hurley and trade Murphy out for Dylan Clarke which gives me a Warne-Chest of 284k but it means I’m still fielding 4 rookies in defence. Or instead of Ronke I could trade Hurley for Clarke leaving me with 680k in the bank. Finally a simple Hurley -> Sicily. Keep in mind Hurley will NOT be playing for the next 2 weeks.

    So options:

    1) Naughton -> Phillips and Hurley -> Ronke +542k
    2) Naughton -> Phillips and Hurley -> Clarke +680k
    3) Naughton -> Phillips and Murphy -> Ronke +146k
    4) Naughton -> Phillips and Murphy -> Clarke +284k
    5) Naughton -> Phillips and Hurley -> Sicily +224k

Every option means I must field 4 rookies this week. Please pick one thanks

    • Bomber Thompson

      May 16, 2018 at 6:26 pm

4 rookies in defence this week*

    • McLean

      May 16, 2018 at 6:31 pm

2 or 4 imo no point chasing ronke now youve missed the boat, I had four rookies on field in def for the past 6 weeks which actually helped my rank incredibly so don’t stress about that too much tbh it’s probably the only line you can get away with it as consistent premo defs are few and far between

      • Bomber Thompson

        May 16, 2018 at 6:36 pm

So which one do you reckon?

    • Bavan

      May 16, 2018 at 6:46 pm

Id go 5. The simplest trade as you said. Sicily has a great role, would be an idiot if he got suspended AGAIN and most importantly has the handy bye. Id look at yeo instead of sicily tho for all the same reasons – good bye, role and somehow this year he has consistency.
Im in a similar predicament with hurley mate, and im looking at Taylor Adams via DPP. He is 625k, fresh off a 124 and is owned by 1% of the comp. Im ranked 9000 and scored 1876 last round so i need some big moves to somewhat save my season and this is one (and the zorko move last week). Im looking at double downgrading next week to get Clarke and some rookie from R12 or R14 bye.

      • Bomber Thompson

        May 16, 2018 at 7:00 pm

yeah its a good plan but sadly im using my last dpp link to trade naughton to phillips. I need some more r12 byes which is why i want to nab yeo/sicily

        • Bavan

          May 16, 2018 at 7:07 pm

yeah thats fine. Id do with yeo with his midfield role where he is dominating, or actually sicily’s role with his +6’s are the way to go but actaully yeo is more consistent and sicily could get suspended but actaully yeo could be used with the run-with role he had against danger which could affect his scores.
Sorry cant help you – Toss a coin. :D
But nah, in all seriousness id go with yeo.

          • Bomber Thompson

            May 16, 2018 at 7:11 pm

have looked at Yeo’s stats this season and apart from the 46 he has been very consistent. However, trading in Sicily allows me to swap him forward (Put Murphy on my back bench) and then I can take off Gowers/Waterman and field Finalyson. That is if you think Finlayson will outscore one of Gowers/Waterman.

I would go with 1 Bomber. Rookies don’t often go up a great deal in their first match, so grab Clarke next week. Ronke won’t perform like he did last week, but he should be good for 55/75. With a break even of -31 he will make plenty of cash over the next few weeks. Good luck.

Martin or Merrett to Macrae and not worry about maxed out rookies?

I reckon it’s best to upgrade rooks around your premos first. Would expect dusty/merrett to come good

Def: Laird, Simmo, Seedsman, Lloyd, Doedee, Murray, (Coffield, O’Shea)
Mid: Titch, Neale, Gibbs, Parker, Merrett, Kelly, Brayshaw, Banfield (Mutch, Phillips)
    Ruck: Gawn, Stef (McInerny, Cameron)
Fwd: McLean, Heeney, Smith, Billings, Bundy, Rioli (Guelfi, Langdon)

90k in the bank. Looking at doing Coffield > Cumming and Banfield > Matt Crouch. Leaving 15k. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Laird, Seedsman, Simpson, Murray, Hibberd, Doedee (Pearce, Duman)

Titch, Cogs, Treloar, Neale, Martin, Merrett, Kelly, Phillips (Banfield, Mutch)

    Gawn, Stef (Big o, Cameron)

Taranto, Smith, Heeney, Spud Billings, Allen, Gowers (Waterman, Crowden)

    Guys I need your help:
    What’s better?
Banfield to Clarke and Doedee to Sicily.
Crowden to Clarke and Banfield to Rockliff.
Crowden to Crowden and Kelly to Adams or Zorko.
    Double downgrade

I believe Doedee to Sicily will net you more points and improve your bye structure
