Thoughts on Brett Deledio? Got priced at 72.8 average and usually averages in the 90’s. Could push for that top 8 forwards if he gets in the 90’s again. 1.2% ownership as well

    • TimorSaint

      February 15, 2018 at 9:46 am

too much GWS tallent to see Lids back to his fantasy best … too risky for me

Theres a spot for him on the back flank, could push into the 90’s again, however hes just too injury prone for me.

How are we feeling about Jacob Townsend?

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 12:21 pm

i like the kid cant see him getting 5-6 goals every week

      5 games

rnd 22 Freo – 107 and be honest i could of got 107 points and kicked 6 goals
      rnd 23 Saints – 83 again kicked a few 5 goals
fnl 1 Cats 29 – 2 goals wow so musta slept for rest of game
      fnl 2 GWS 56 points 1 goal
GF – WHO CARES WHAT HE DID WE WON – lol no he got 52 and 2 goals

Its a no from me, i know the kid won the Liston medal (B&F in VFL) with only playing 15 games but he played mid i believe, and cant see him playing much mid for Tigers eyt

    Def: R.Laird, J,Crisp, J.Sicily, A.Brayshaw, T.Doedee, D.Mirra (S.Murray, L.Keeffe)

    Mid: T.Mitchell, Z.Merrett, J.Kelly, P.Cripps, S.Coniglio, J.O’meara, A.Brayshaw, L.Davies-Uniacke (M.Polkhe, N.Freeman)

    Ruc: S.Jacobs, M.Gawn (T.English, D.Cameron)

    Fwd: I.Heeney, M.Robinson, R.Lobb, A.Christensen, D.Venables, P.Ahern (J.Waterman, W.Rioli)

Bank: $42k (Fair bit left but I can make changes to free up some more)

This is a new structure for me as I have gone heavier in the mids and defence and a bit light in the fwd

So, if I could get any help or tips on what I’ve done so far; preferably mentioning any possible issues I’ve walked into, or must-have rookies (I know, at this stage thats tough) that I’ve missed, let me know.

    Thanks :)

    • Roger

      February 15, 2018 at 11:38 am

Overall structure looks good. Criticism I do have though is the 4x $170k players on the field. I’d replace Waterman with Ahern/Venables and bring in a Setterfield

    Zerret or Fyfe I’m stuck!!!

    • Buckz Boyz

      February 15, 2018 at 10:15 am

Fyfe isn’t a fantasy player, i’ll say it. He’s going to play a fair time in the attacking 50, while letting their draftees run amock in the midfield.

What do people see Ah Chee and Christensen averaging? Is it too risky to have both at F4 and F5?

    • TimorSaint

      February 15, 2018 at 10:12 am

if christianson goes round for 80 a week thats a good invertment. Hes my D3/4 … ah Chee – sorry dunno

    • Buckz Boyz

      February 15, 2018 at 10:14 am

      Christensen: 75-80
Ah Chee (if mid role): 75-85

    • Scott

      February 15, 2018 at 12:36 pm

Ah Chee will average around 85 if he plays inside mid like he should. Christensen will probably average high 70’s, hopefully more. I have them both at F4 and F5 so you’re fine mate.

A lot of mid price traps 2018. Try to avoid.
2016 was year for mid-pricers—Kerridge Wells etc.

    • PowerAde

      February 15, 2018 at 10:41 am

every year is the year of the mid pricers but you just have to pick the right ones. most pick the same guys as they take advice from other, myself included.

no reason any one or two of a group including Christensen, young, ah chee, nic nat, kennedy, brayshaw, petracca, etc, can have a good year, they get paid to play well

    Not much love for Dusty

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 12:33 pm

i struggled with Kelly v Dusty. Love Dusty my kids just got me the signed jumper limited edition wall hanging thingo.

very simialr price and scoring last year. In the end i picked Kelly purely on my head not my heart. Reasons are i think Dusty has peaked, i cant see any improvement, how do you improve on the greatest AFL season ever (not fantasy). Also his figures in final series for fantasy dropped where as Kellys increased a lot. Reason being Dusty played a more unselfish team game and helped win the matches which obviously got him the Norm Smith and best player of the finals, but from fantasy was ordinary. Kelly racked up heaps of possessions but no cigar wins wise or awards wise.
Dusty 3 finals 106/88/90 average 94.67 (note he got 90 in GF and won Norm Smith)
      Kelly 3 finals 126/119/117 average 120.67

Kelly is 23 Dusty is close to 27 – all i am saying i recon dusty is good for his 113.64 again maybe but Kelly has more potential to increase

As mad tiger i hope im wrong and Dusty busts out, but cant see it, as said he plays a more team game these days and Tigers are better for it.

slider in draft, would take some guts to go in classic

    • Jake

      February 15, 2018 at 12:24 pm

There’s good value in defence already. No need to find someone like Smith who is much riskier than McGrath/Brayshaw/Mills/Clarke

  17. Jake

    February 15, 2018 at 12:23 pm

At F2, who woukd you say is the best option:

    Toby McLean
    Devon Smith
    Mitch Robinson
    James Sicily

Or any mid pricer such as AH Chee/Young/Parish/Acres to save a bit of cash. Cheers guys

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 12:40 pm

Tough all of these guys have been in my team at some stage.

      1. Toby McLean – currently my F2 only when Billings got injured but his price now fits my structure, risky and need to see the dogs setup before lockout Friday 23rd March
      2. James Sicily – currently at D3 for me as long as he plays as defender which indications form club is the case at 523k he is a lock
      3. Devon Smith – may get mid time, but all accounts im on Stringer reports from club indicate he will replace the Watson role as the club has no big bodied midfielders and parish,Mcgrath and Smith while will get mmroe mid time are NOT big bodied midfielders. So im thinking some mid time but mainly forward.
      4. Mitch Robinson – mmm robbo robbo robbo how many times have you burnt me, if fit and not suspended and not tagging and plays mid then bargain and could really be no 1 here in the list but not for me

    • Scott

      February 15, 2018 at 12:42 pm

Probably Mclean/Robbo at F2, but Sicily would make a great F3! Ah Chee and Stringer would also make good F3/F4’s if you’re willing to take the risk.

    Thoughts on Treloar this year?

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 12:45 pm

boring, but dependable, personally cant see any improvement on scoring as no change in role or major changes in team either.

Generally solid low LY 57 other than that never below 82, did have a 144 and no reason he cant avg his 108 again but i cant see any improvement not that he has too

If he fits structure at that price and averages 108 all year who cares, and you dont have to or cant really get all the top 8 mids by year end, imagine though if he was at M8 come year end, you would not be dissappointed

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 12:53 pm

so at or around that price i think Mt Crouch presents better value but just IMO, i dont have either i elected for Adams but hes like 50k dearer, but his finish to year last 10 rounds was off the charts Adams last 5 rounds average (which includes a 97) was 126.4 which is the best in comp by far, the next best was Menegola at 119.2 then Mat Crouch at 119 (there he is again)

Adams last 10 rounds 113.6 was 5th highest but take out ablett who only played 3 games then he was 3rd highest

M Crouch last 10 round average 114.2 was 3rd behind Dangers and Titch

Mmm think i might bring in M Crouch jsut convinced myself, lol only concern is Gibbs affect, but honestly i only think Gibbs will squeeze out the fringe mids at crows like Greenwood

      • Euman

        February 15, 2018 at 12:54 pm

        * correction 4th highest when ablett is removed

        • Ryan

          February 15, 2018 at 1:06 pm

Brad Crouch 112 over his last 10 as well including finals, another ripper option

3x $170k rookies in def on the field, good luck with that. Will need a coffield/hibberd/o’shea at least.
IMO need Titch but midfield looks strong without.

    • Buckz Boyz

      February 15, 2018 at 1:28 pm

Defence line is dangerous with 3 basement rooks, would look to try and turn those into draft picks/others that come by who have better JS come round 1. Would look to downgrade Barlow to do that.
Apart from that 3 solid def picks. Like Hibberd, could be T3.
Solid mids, like Macrae as a POD, not sure how much he can improve, but I like it nevertheless.
      Standard rucks
Like the fwd line bar Barlow.

Overall you’ve got a nice team mate. Only worry is the 3 rooks in defence.

Can’t compare the two simply due to price difference.
Zerrett any day of the week.

    Billings + O’Shea & 2k or

    Greene (3k), Boak (4K), Smith (72k) & O’Brien?

      February 15, 2018 at 2:03 pm

      Billings and O’Shea.

I don’t think Billings’ injury will affect him hugely, and because i also don’t like any of those other options.

if billings 100% is no brainer

Greene and O’Shea, any injury this close to the season is a big one, especially since it’s a hammy and will impact his running and fitness, hence why you should wait a bit on Billings.

      Can’t go wrong with either.

I’ll go the other way and say Adams and Matt, based on my bold prediction that Adams will average more than Merrett this year.

Also think Matt will outdo his brother with his consistency.

Don’t mind it. However I don’t think this year is the year Curnow gets unleashed into the middle with his brother returning and the additions of Kennedy and Lang. I hope I’m wrong though because i really want to see him tear that middle square apart. Also 3 170K rookies on the field is too dangerous IMO, it will be very hard to avoid a big fat doughnut if 2 don’t get named.

Darcy Lang from the Blues? Potential Average

    • Euman

      February 15, 2018 at 2:39 pm

is hard to know will watch JLT i looked at him back in November as potential

    • peterthomas25

      February 15, 2018 at 2:55 pm

It’s probably unlikely, but I’ve got gim down as 84. Obviously without JLT I’ve got nothing to back that up. Just my prediction.

Heath Shaw anyone? No Williams and Wilson gone too. Could get the cheap kicks in def again.

    • peterthomas25

      February 15, 2018 at 2:58 pm

Yes he could. Still going to be a Headache IMO, but if you do believe no Wilson and Williams is a positive for Shaw then back yourself. You never know.

looked at him pretty hard but believe there is better value around his price give you less head aches

what’s the go with NicNat? i’m guessing there’s a setback with injury but from what i’ve read still hoping for a JLT hitout?

      February 15, 2018 at 3:11 pm

IMO – wil lbe 2nd ruck, is underdone will be managed as well may not travel every match even if plays rnd 1. so IMO i am thinking you are looking at scoring 60-70 maybe 75 at best, although priced at 59 is ok but slow burn.

And fear is with no bench cover come round 2 if he dont fly to Melbourne for Dogs game unless you got a warne chest of $200k then you got say $450k to spend on replacement im not doing it done it before LUENBERGER
