Moneyball’s $5000 Sunday Funday

Roy looks for some value on Moneyball’s Sunday Funday slate

Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) is one of the fastest growing games in Australia. Our mates at Moneyball are the leaders in the industry and run many different formats, including competitions for every AFL game across the season.

POOL $5,000 with $650 for 1st,  2nd receives $310 and so on right down to $34.18 for players in 89th place.

Starts: Sunday 1.10 pm

Includes:
Pies v Lions
Blues v Roos

Eagles v Giants

Darcy Moore (FWD, $5,200) I’m not sold on Moore being the next big thing, however he is capable of surpassing his price this week given he plays the Lions. The last four rounds, opposition big men have had a field day on them, scoring 103, 119, 133 and 125. Now I’m not overly confident that he can get that high, but it certainly creates a potential value pick.

Dayne Beams (MID, $9,500) In the last seven games without Rocky, Beamer has averaged 114 with four of those scores over 120. He showed no signs of injury last week with 40 touches and 144. Lock and load against his old mob.

Liam Jones (FWD, $4,500) Don’t laugh, I am trying to find you a bargain here, well I understand why you are… but hear me out. Jones has been named to play in the back line for the Blues and his form in that position in the VFL is phenominal. Last week he had 26 touches and 15 marks back there and add that to the fact the Blues rank second in marks (many in the back half). He could be a cheap roughy.

Kayne Turner (FWD, $5,900) If you are looking for a bargain in the forward line to allow you to spend big in the mids, I think I’ve got you one. Turner has embraced the increase in opportunity through the midfield and is averaging 86 in the last four rounds as a result.

Luke Shuey (MID, $10,300) I don’t often like to target players vs the Giants as they can be quite restrictive. For some reason though, Shuey loves playing them and for that reason, he might be worth a punt as a unique. Over his career he averages 110 against them and scored a 142 on them last year. An interesting option.

My shout team!

Lachie Whitfield (MID, $7,500) If we look all the way back to last year, Whitfield is averaging almost 100 over his last five games. This year he has averaged over 20 uncontested possessions per game and there is no reason he won’t do that again against the Eagles. Bargain!.

Goodluck!
