AFL Teams 2016: Round 7

Late changes Tiges vs Hawks, S.Mitchel OUT Lovell IN.

S.Mitchell is a late out!!!

5:15pm Friday 05/06/2016

Sunday extended benches are in. As already advised both Sam Gray and Dougal Howard are omitted for Port. Possible rookie targets Aaron Mullet, Hugh Goddard didnt make the cut. For those concerned , Darcy Byrne-Jones did make the cut, as did Jade Gresham. Next update tonights late changes~7pm.

6:30pm Thursday 04/06/2016

Teams are IN! Great to see Dayne Beams (Mid.) back. This could really help Rocky owners, and he is a great option in himself. Will his inclusion effect Zorko and Rich’s role?
Another debuttant named with Hawks Kaiden Brand (Def. $125,000 AF $128,200 DT).
Ross Lyons trolls us again, dropping Freos rookies in Brady Grey (Omitted) and Darcy Tucker (Omitted). Further Rookies carnage with Kieran Lovell (Omitted), Jacob Weitering (Shoulder), Aliir Aliir (Omitted), Sam Grimley (Omitted), Darcy Parish (Rested), Ryan Davis (Omitted), Mackenzie Willis (Omitted), Sam Frost (Omitted), Jarryd Lyons (Omitted). Small respite with Tom Ruggles (Def.) returning for the cats.
Brad Crouch (Mid.) is finally back for the crows, and he is still on the bubble in RDT. Elliot Yeo (Def.) is back in from illness. There are a few new names at the bombers with topup player Nathan Grima (Def) and we get to see Mason Redman (Fwd/Mid $165,000 AF $121,300 DT).
Despite the rumours Sam Kerridge (Fwd/Mid.) has been named. Don’t forget to check the Sunday games extended benches Friday ~5pm.

5:30pm Thursday 04/06/2016

AFL teams for Round 7 will be named ~6:15pm tonight. Stay tuned! At least one known Debut with Darcy MacPherson (Mid/ $125,000 AF $105,800 RDT). Dees duo Christian Salem and Angus Brayshaw have already been ruled out due to concussions. We already knew popular Defender Rory Laird will be ruled out for up to 3 weeks with a broken Toe. Trent Cotchin out with a broken cheekbone for at least 2 weeks and Kane Lambert out for 3 weeks with cracked rib. Good news for Jacob Weitering who only had a partial dislocation will likely miss this week but could be back next week. There are question marks for selections, with Sam Kerridge having shoulder scans this week, who will be replaced by MacPherson at suns, will T.Adams come back? There is also a chance this is the week Dayne Beams comes back.

There are only 2 Sunday games this week so bulk of Teams will be named tonight.

ross
Sebastian Ross (Mid. $493,000 AF $508,200 DT) is looking to be having a break out season, seemingly at the cost of Armitage. He is averaging more than 100+ and seems to be improving as the season continues. You could jump on as a worthy POD.

rock
Sunday benches not named yet, but I’m calling this early. Tom Rockliff (Mid. $498,000 be 94 AF $ 521,700 be 72 RDT) in a show of pure piggery smashed out a 132. He has dropped a tonne of cash due to an injury affected 24 (deja vu anyone?). This is the week to grab.
Shout out to returning Dayne Beams who I would have chosen as my pick, if not for Rocky’s obviousness, and if anything his return will improve Rocky’s output.

Brett Deledio (Fwd. $522,000 AF $554,800 RDT) return of 91 last week didnt burn the house down, but seeing it was his first week back, it wasnt a flop either. Very much a viable fwd upgrade target and a POD to make your team distinct.

Adam Treloar (Mid. $576,000 AF $606,700 DT) is only owned by 3.29% of teams in AF. His last 3 games he has scored 123, 129, 119. A high scoring POD like this could really bump you up the ranks if this scoring continues!

Flying under the radar behind Joel Selwood and Dangerfield, Mitch Duncan (Mid $464,000 AF $499,300 DT) has been scoring great. Don’t be fooled by his avg, which is low due to a concussion score of 16. His real average is 106.

grima
Nathan Grima (Def. $226,000 AF $241,800 DT) was never that DT relevant when he was at North. But for such a veteran player at a cheapish price, his role and performance at Dons could improve this. More of a watch and learn, especially since reports are he has been out of condition.

Rookie options are starting to dry up, so new rookie upgrade Darcy MacPherson (Mid/ $125,000 AF $105,800 RDT) may save us. Much touted playing good NEAFL footy and one of Eades favourites, good games will keep him in the side. He did some good things over NAB cup, scoring 82 in one of his games showing he is capable of scoring well. I’d watch and learn for 1 week and see if he can cement his spot.

brouch
Brad Crouch (Mid. $421,000 AF $ 321,900 DT) is one more for RDT as he is on the bubble with BE of 14, and is very cheap. Still a valid midprice upgrade option for AF. Injury is and remains his biggest concern. Many still think once hes back to full fitness he will tear up the midfield, on previous form he is a ball magnet.

greene
This one is there for the punters. Huge risk reward. Toby Greene (Fwd/Mid $495,000 be 63 AF $ 536,500 be 64 DT) is a deadset yo-yo. With 2 scores this year of 56 and 52, many simply would write him off as inconsistent. Last 3 weeks he has managed to keep good scoring with 95, 141, 117. His ceiling is huge, and is one of those players that can make or break your team. If you want to take the punt his low scores are the exception, he could be a season making upgrade. Choose at your own risk.

A windy cold day in 2015, I was bored, sick with the flu, and decided to start a blog about Teamsheets. I was immediately recruited by Warnie and somehow am now a DTTALK author. NOTE; Im Back in 2022! woooo Twitter @shagbags2023 ~REMEMBER: Friends don't let friends DT TEAMS become ghost ships.
