    Trading Langdon to Premo Def

    Currently Have:

Mcveigh, Bartel, Swallow, Suckling and Kelly

Money is no issue, who should i trade to? I was thinking hanley or kade simpson before the week, but both now have high BE and obvious that they can’t handle a tag very well….Thinking Hanley or Hodge :)

Thanks in advance for the advice

    • David

      June 22, 2014 at 10:30 pm

i think hodge is in great form at the moment and he is a great pick but when mitchell comes back will he still get mid time?
hanley and simmo as you said are solid picks and have rarely had bad game this year besides this round.
brodie smith is a fantastic pod who never goes under 80

my pick for defence would be:

      1. Smith
      2. Simpson
      3. Hanley
      4. Hodge

can you please help me above :)

Any idea why Dahlhaus is sucking at the moment? Is cheap this week and could upgrade Tex to him, good idea?

Nah at this time of year if you are gonna upgrade might as well go to the best.

      • Lan T

Miles as M9 overall, but this week I’m backing him into M8. On your arse Jelwood.

Upgrade Pav-Parker or Shenton-Mid Premo under 515K and who?

    • rusty96

      June 23, 2014 at 10:54 am

Assuming Pav is on your ground and shenton is on the bench, i’d upgrade Pav to Gray/Parker before trying to tidy up your bench. If shenton is also on your field then i’d attend to him first and pick up stevie johnson who is a steal at 515k

    • Elliott Dwyer-Long

      Elliott Dwyer-Long

      June 23, 2014 at 12:21 am

Tough choice. The one with the highest breakeven. Also check fixtures.

    • Lan T

      June 23, 2014 at 12:47 am

Right now, I’d say Roo, then Dahlhaus, then Gunston.
Roo cos he looked like he was carrying an injury during the game.
If Roo doesn’t have an injury, I’d say punt Dahlhaus. Roo is still more proven. Gunston for mine stays as F6.

On the Chopping Block: Depending on injury outcomes (e.g. Langdon, Hibberd)

Goddard is a good pick but Steve J is about as low as he has been all year. If you want him now is the time to do it.

  16. Euan Bloomer

    June 23, 2014 at 4:07 pm

    Team Name: Eumans Tigers
Round 14 Scores: 2,306 (807th overall for week)
    League Results: Win (position 1)
Studs: The Rock & Levi Greenwood my POD
Duds: Jake Llyod had him on field as was in middle of trades and playing lowest rank player in our league so thought was ok
On the Chopping Block: Well it was Missy Higgins & Janscesh nut their 96 & 89 respectively saved them.
    Vent/Brag/Whatever:
Got 2,306 with Llyod on field for 43 (and 354k in bank so premo this week) and also had S Martin on bench for 111

This weeks trades – Cameron out of fwds – S Martin move to fwds via dpp & Brown in from Nth is dpp also. Am putting Martin on field and my bench backup will be either dangers of Gunstan. note doing this as long as Brwon is picked I will actually have 5 Rucks playing next week – Brown/Martin/deidriks/Sandilands and Jacobs

Jake Llyod is goneand in comes Barlow (at this stage)

My issue is I have no bench cover in my Defense and have not for a few weeks will need to work on that make some cash and then Higgins or Janscesh or Suckling could be my bench cover in long run – Simpson whoudl drop a few dollars and or hanely

    Round 14 Scores: 2182
    League Results: Win (p 4)
    Studs: Rocky, Gaz
    Duds: Langdon & K.Simpson
    On the Chopping Block: Langdon
Vent/Brag/Whatever: OK so I was trading out Langdon anyway this week but it’s sad when he gets KO’d and gives me 15. OUCH but worse than that Kade Simpson does 26, and for a primo that is pretty poor. Socks, Pulled, Up, yes I’m looking at you Mr Simpson.

  18. credstarz

Def: McVeigh Bartel Burgoyne Langdon Hanley Swallow (Griffiths bews)

Mid: Ablett Johnson Beams Swan Barlow Goddard Wines C.beams ( o’brein)

    Ruck: mummy sandi (derickx currie)

Fwd: Parker Martin Elliot Wingard Tex
    S.Martin (Ambrose frost)

    $281K
Thinking c.beams > miles and frost > kersten leaving with $304K to double upgrade next week

You think Langdon might be a priority to get rid of before beams? Assuming he is named, I only really care about league results btw and am playing a spud this week then two hard games in the weeks after
Go on give us a tinkle
