I have the $$ to upgrade Barlow to Swan, is this a gumby trade? Hoping Swan goes off so I can then use the loophole. My other trade Viney to Evans

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:21 pm

What the hell is a Gumby trade? lol

If you have nothing else to fix up in your team, then go for it… Have you got the non playing player to finish the loop hole off?

  2. Almen

    April 24, 2013 at 11:21 pm

Everyone seems to be doing the viney to evans trade?
will viney play this weekend? wouldnt it be a good idea to instead trade crouch out for evans? or mayes..

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:22 pm

As soon as Crouch comes back, he will jump 60K, Viney will take 3 weeks of games just to get back to that sort of cash flow if he plays out of his skin

  3. pavalova29

    April 24, 2013 at 11:22 pm

why are some names highlighted green?

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:23 pm

    • WestcoastWarrior

      April 24, 2013 at 11:26 pm

I think they did that to highlight DT relevant rookies or players who are coming back (daisy for example). Don’t read too much into it :P

  4. Almen

    April 24, 2013 at 11:25 pm

hey Dean, whats your opinion on this one

    I was going to do
    viney to evans
    neade to mayes

    im considering
    viney to mayes and
    neade to cloke?

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:32 pm

What other rookies have you go in the MID & FWD lines?

Neade has still got more cash to make so I would wait until selection before dropping him. I would lean towards Viney > Mayes, and the second trade depends on rookies and cash…

      • Almen

        April 24, 2013 at 11:43 pm

neade is in my forward line alongside macaffer, dwyer and rowe. gathered neade is the most eligible candidate..

        • Dean

          April 24, 2013 at 11:46 pm

Who are your ruck and Mid rookies?

You must have a very thin FWD line if you have all 4 in there.

  5. Neil

    April 24, 2013 at 11:26 pm

Cheers guys. I wanna trade the bloke though. Maybe next week.

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:35 pm

Trade out Patton.. Like I said, put Kitchell on the field and have your M8 as emergency. Kitchell will not get named and then you can still get rid of Patton as you want while keeping the loophole in play.

      • Neil

        April 24, 2013 at 11:57 pm

Righto. Should i play McCaffer on the field then? Or T.Lee?

        • Dean

          April 25, 2013 at 12:03 am

Of those 2, I’d go Caff… Who would your other FWD bench player be?

          • Neil

            April 25, 2013 at 12:09 am

          • Neil

            April 25, 2013 at 12:10 am

But may trade to Kerridge tomorrow if he is named. I also have neade in Mids so can put him there and get Evans.

          • Dean

            April 25, 2013 at 12:15 am

OK. Patton out, put Mayes into FWD line with Caffer and Lee on Bench. Then that opens the spot for Evans in the MIDs and still allows you to use Kitchell for Loophole. If the Loophole is not needed with Swanny kicking arse, you can then also trade out Kitchell as he won’t be back anytime soon

          • Neil

            April 25, 2013 at 12:18 am

Cheers mate. I hope Kerridge gets named then. I’ll do the trades tomorrow. Ill put the Emergance on MacCaffer in case he goes big then keep patton on.

          • Dean

            April 25, 2013 at 12:21 am

Just make sure the V is on Swan if you are using Loophole

  6. Adam

    April 24, 2013 at 11:48 pm

stanton been named at HB…that something to worry about? i traded him in for JPK this week.

    • Dean

      April 24, 2013 at 11:50 pm

He’ll be in the centre. There are only so many spots people can be named and given Swatson, Goddard, Zaharakis etc. he has to be named somewhere… Be greatful it’s not the Bench or Emergency :)

  7. boomstik

    April 25, 2013 at 12:21 am

1st trade for me this week is probably viney > evans or mayes

2nd trade i’m thinking of trading out maloney? BE 69 which against melbourne he’ll crack. but he’s only there to make $$$ and with all these other cash cows about to start mooing it could be time to think ahead and start clearing out. whether i up or downgrade isn’t really the issue at the moment.

only other options for trading out would be crouch, whitfield, macaffer or dwyer. all of who seem to have more $$$ left in them.

in short, should i trade out maloney or one of these other chumps? :)

    • Neil

      April 25, 2013 at 12:31 am

Save Moloney he will score big against Melb. Maybe put the C on him?

      • WestcoastWarrior

        April 25, 2013 at 1:08 am

Don’t captain Moloney, if you’re gonna captain anyone from Brisbane, choose Rockliff. Furthermore, you don’t need to trade out Moloney, I too am holding onto him. Maybe look at taking out a forward rookie for Mayes?

        • boomstik

          April 25, 2013 at 2:42 am

          cheers for the responses :)

the C is firmly on swan for me. might hold onto moloney. would you agree macaffer seems the next best option? i figure dwyer is ok for another 1-2 weeks. seems a bit rash to trade crouch out already and this trading out and back in biz seems fraught with danger.

decisions, decisions. what is a coach to do?

          good luck this week everyone!

  8. Chris

    April 25, 2013 at 12:33 am

Dusty or Bartel to Cloke? Cheers

  9. Sceptic

    April 25, 2013 at 2:42 am

With 250,000 in the kitty and already have panned to use 3 of my next four trades as downgrades for cash, do I downgrade Viney and Neade this week to Evans and Mayes giving me a mass amount of cash or do downgrade 1 player and then I get anybody I want mainly Stevie J, Gablett, K.Cornes bein the main people (have Swan, Cotch, Watson, Pendles, Fyfe/ Chappy, Rocky, Cox, dusty, kennedy

    • boomstik

      April 25, 2013 at 2:50 am

if you’re happy with your scoring for now i would be downgrading with both trades. if you need some firepower this week then do 1 of each. personally i’m all about the $$$ this year.

  10. boomstik

    April 25, 2013 at 2:45 am

bartel. dusty BE 75 which is achievable so won’t bleed too much this week. jimmy has a BE 126.

    • boomstik

      April 25, 2013 at 2:45 am

oops, that was meant for chris

  11. EmeraldIllusion

    April 25, 2013 at 7:38 am

How many people are doing the Swan loophole? If so, with what player? (Besides Crouch).

  12. Blazers

    April 25, 2013 at 7:53 am

If Dwyer is not named the sub, who should take the field out of him and Mayes?

    • Adam

      April 25, 2013 at 8:33 am

Dwyer for safer option as will avoid the green. Mayes for points and hope he doesn’t grab the vest

  13. Lewie-14

    April 25, 2013 at 8:17 am

Dwyer or McCaffer on the ground ??

    • Adam

      April 25, 2013 at 8:33 am

      Dwyer if no vest

  14. Lewie-14

    April 25, 2013 at 8:34 am

$230 in the kitty is it worth trading out Bartel or Dusty for a more consistent premo or should I resist temptation and have faith !!

    • Lewie-14

      April 25, 2013 at 8:35 am

      $230600 I meant haha

  15. Adam

    April 25, 2013 at 8:36 am

    Option 1: viney > Mayes
    JPK > Evans

    Option 2: viney > Mayes
    JPK > Stanton

People thing Stanton will rip up today?

  16. DTKING

    April 25, 2013 at 8:41 am

Adam, ur better going JPK > watson, watson will be more consistent thats my opinion.

    • Adam

      April 25, 2013 at 8:56 am

Yee thanks for the opinion. Watson be ripe for picking next wk so I have to have a think if I should just bring the 2 rookies in this week or go a gun and rook. Hmmmmmm.

  17. KillerKiel

    April 25, 2013 at 9:48 am

crouch to evans and viney to stockes????or get in Maloney instead of stokes

    • Alex's All Stars

      April 25, 2013 at 10:20 am

I think Stokes will have a higher ceiling than Moloney. Moloney is a good pick for this week but for the long term Stokes. My only concern is the what Kelly’s influence to Stokes’ role will have…

  18. Waffles

    April 25, 2013 at 9:58 am

Is everyone doing the swan loop de loop with Crouchy boy?

    • Alex's All Stars

      April 25, 2013 at 10:05 am

i still have Kommer so he’ll be my Loop-de-loopy!

      • EmeraldIllusion

        April 25, 2013 at 10:32 am

Alex… You can’t do the loophole with K Bones. I have him too but can’t do it.

      • Shags

        April 25, 2013 at 10:35 am

You cant loop de loop with kommer dude.

        • Alex's All Stars

          April 25, 2013 at 10:44 am

Good point thanks guys!!! Nearly had a major stuff up there.

  19. Alex's All Stars

    April 25, 2013 at 10:15 am

Last minute trade advice wanted about these two options:

Option 1: Kreuzer > Leuenberger and Karnezis > Cloke
Leuenberger has the potential to become a premium ruck. I’ll be trading in O’hAilpin next week allowing Cox DPP movement. That way playing Daw and Leuenberger in my Rucks with Cox up forward.

Option 2: Viney > Evans and Karnezis > Cloke
Basically chasing the cash. I liked Evans 2 years ago, and had him in my team all preseason. Evans will be on my bench. Unfortunately I can’t afford Kommer > Evans. Leaving me to upgrade Kreuzer next week and once again bringing in O’hAilpin for Cox DPP.

Any other tips are welcome. Current team:
DEF: Heppell, Gibbs, Goddard, Hibberd, Goodes, Pittard, (Terlich, Stevenson)
MID: Swan, Ablett, Watson, Kennedy, Wines, Moloney, O’Meara, Whitfield, (Viney, Kommer)
    RUC: Cox, Daw, (Kreuzer, Blicavs)
FWD: Westhoff, Kennedy, Monfries, Zorko, Dwyer, Neade, (Karnezis, Macaffer)

    • Alex's All Stars

      April 25, 2013 at 10:18 am

With the weekend’s teams not being announced it’s hard to tell if Daw’s going to play… Also whether or not Viney is getting picked too.

The logical move would be to do the Leuenberger trade right? Allowing for Cox DPP next week fixes my forwardline issues that have had since round 2. It’s just that there’s a big difference in cash coming in between the two trades.

    • WestcoastWarrior

      April 25, 2013 at 10:28 am

The Kreuzer trade is the best one. Berger should kill it this week and having Cloke on your field over Karnezis or Dwyer would be handy. If setanta fails to fire against the suns, maybe look at bringing in Rowe, because Carlton play Melbourne next week.

      • Alex's All Stars

        April 25, 2013 at 10:44 am

Good points mate, cheers for your reply, it is the most logical move.

  20. PAUL

    Pick 1 out of 3
    Matt Jones
    Micheal Evans

  21. Shags

    April 25, 2013 at 10:39 am

Which of Evans or Mayes do you guys think has the best JS, as I need to trade Kommer to one of them obviously before weekend teamsheets are named.

Im actually thinking Evans, surely his game saving last quarter earns him a full game this week. Mayes has been good, but Voss does weird stuff, Brissie lions having been going that well, and I expect a shuffle up. I also think Melbourne are in the habit of playing their rookies.

I will trade viney to the other one.

    • Dean

      April 25, 2013 at 10:45 am

Keep in min though, rich is out for 8 weeks so that should give Mayes a bit of job security. Both are perfectly good options though.

I had the luxury to get both thankfully

  22. Dean

    April 25, 2013 at 10:43 am

Finally a week of relatively straight forward trades… My side is locked and ready to lose :). SC was a bit harder but should win in all my leagues there

  23. Wolfpack

    April 25, 2013 at 10:47 am

What people thoughts on these trades

    1. Viney – Mayes ————- jpk – Ablett or Stants

    2. Viney – sub Dwyer to mids bring in Mayes ———— couch – sub Mayes to mids bring in knights.

Knights is interesting. Expected to rise 100k in next 3 weeks ??

Team will look like this. Any other thoughts would be great

    • Wolfpack

      April 25, 2013 at 10:48 am

      Cash left 21,000

    • Dean

      April 25, 2013 at 10:50 am

I don’t understand what you are wanting to do, but are you ditching crouch but keeping kommer? That is insane

      • Wolfpack

        April 25, 2013 at 10:52 am

Kommer will prob be back next week and will rise, what insane ?

        • Dean

          April 25, 2013 at 10:57 am

Crouch will be back the week after and double kommers rises instantly.

I find it strange you were willing to hold onto an ok rookie for 2 weeks but ditching one of the best straight away

          • Wolfpack

            April 25, 2013 at 11:05 am

Hamstring week after ?????? Doubt that. If he’s back next week then kommer for crouch easy !!!!

Unless I can’t read it say prob 2 matches

          • Dean

            April 25, 2013 at 11:12 am

2 matches means this weekend and one after. It was a tweak, not a tear. Just be wary that in doing that, you are further locking your future trades.

I don’t have crouch so it gives me 2 weeks to bring him in

          • Wolfpack

            April 25, 2013 at 11:17 am

Well either way I will have crouch or kommer still sitting there

          • Wolfpack

            April 25, 2013 at 11:22 am

            Second thoughts ten

Viney – Mayes & kommer to Evans maybe if he’s named

That gives 136,000 in the kitty for next week

  24. RyanC

    April 25, 2013 at 10:52 am

Hey guys does anyone think Gumbleton is a good long term pickup? Was his score last week a one off?
Or am I better off picking up a rookie like Mayes and cash cowing.

Also, can someone please explain the loophole concept.

    Thankyou for info

    • Wolfpack

      April 25, 2013 at 10:54 am

Gumbleton = injury prone, can score but I would stay away personally

      • boomstik

        April 25, 2013 at 11:44 am

it would certainly be a unique trade. if he stays injury free it could be a masterstroke. but that’s a pretty big if.

        but YOLO!

Hey Dean, could I get ur advice,

Should I put the VC on Pendlebury or O’keefe?

And if I put the C on Crouch who is on the field and Ablett on the bench that should work right?

    • RyanC

      April 25, 2013 at 1:39 pm

      Ablett on bench as emergency*

    • Dean

      April 25, 2013 at 1:41 pm

Put V on Pendles. And just have whoever you would have on your field if Crouch was on the bench as Emergency.

If Pendles bombs it, put the C on Ablett. If he kills it, put the C on Crouch.
