And what do you guys think about switching M.Murphy in for JPK, I know it’s early but still. Also should I switch Jacobs for cox?

    • Angus

      April 2, 2013 at 9:19 pm

Swallow/ mundy for jpk maybe? Don’t go trading out Mitchell, you’ll regret it man,

    Team Name: Djurrah Unchained

    Round 1 Score: 1974

DT Studs: Swan, Gablett, SWALLOW!!, Gibbs, B.Goodes, Wines, Rocky

DT Duds: Armstrong, Zorko, McEvoy, Fyfe (based on potential), Goddard

On the Chopping Block: Zorko if he’s still battling injury, but too early to chop yet

Vent/Brag/Whatever: Went with my gut on Swallow and couldnt be happier. Disappointed with Armstrong but not his fault he was subbed in late. Made the right call by getting rid of Whitfield and Toumpas to bring in Wines and Viney. Savd me some money and improved my score!!

    DT Duds: Longer,Duffield
On the Chopping Block: D,Martin, Duffield

  6. Frances

    April 2, 2013 at 11:47 am

    Team Name: Smokin’ Ballers
    Round 1 Score: 1949
DT Studs: Kreuzer – took a punt and it paid off, hopefully he keeps up this form!
DT Duds: I thought this was going to be Kane Lucas’ year…perhaps not.
On the Chopping Block: Lucas and Scott Lycett
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Very happy with all rookies except for Lycett. Tracking OK in normal DT, draft DT however has #FMDT written all over it.

  7. Dusty Cotch n Conks

    Dusty Cotch n Conks

    April 2, 2013 at 12:17 pm

    Team Name: The Far Kennellys
    Round 1 Score: 2129
DT Studs: The usual suspects, plus Hartlett and J Selwood (a late inclusion for Boyd)
DT Duds: Billy Longer (late inclusion for the Berger) could have done better, Goddard below expectations, but I’m sure will needc a couple of games to get firing. Karnezis was also below what I was expecting, but won’t complain too much about that, he’ll score better than that in the future. Apart from that everyone else did well or close to expectations.
On the Chopping Block: Definitely Longer. Just a fill-in til the Berger is better. Bartel had his head on it, but his last quarter saved him.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Very happy with a raning of 127 to start the year. I usually start off much lower than that and have to fight my way to the top 1000.

  10. Sammy J

    April 2, 2013 at 12:46 pm

    Team Name: Aladeen FC
    Round 1 Score: 1989
DT Studs: Swan, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Rocky, B.Goodes, Wines
    DT Duds: Danger, Zorko
On the Chopping Block: No one really, although after that Round 1 performance, I’d love to bring in Viney.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Not too unhappy, could’ve been better (although, so could everyone’s…). Hoping Koby Stevens can put in a full game for me this week, interested to see whether I made the right call. Great last minute decision to use the cash and upgrade Leuy to Kreuzer, instead of relying on the services of Longer, worked out well.

  11. Nathan Duggan

    April 2, 2013 at 12:57 pm

    Team Name: The Yellow Banana
    Round 1 Score:1953
DT Studs:Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Wines, Gibbs, Rockliff
    DT Duds:Zorko, K. Mitchell, Bock
On the Chopping Block: Bock for sure
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Really Happy I would have cracked 2000 but i put K.Mitchell on my field instead of Viney so I lost a lot of points, but overall really happy.

    • Sam

      April 2, 2013 at 1:05 pm

K Mitchell was a sub who played 1 quater and scored 24 = 96 over 4 quaters. No vest = He will be a gun

  12. Sam

    April 2, 2013 at 1:03 pm

    Team Name: Dream Weavers
    Round 1 Score: 1821
DT Studs: Wines (Gun) Viney (Gun)
DT Duds: Robinson (Stop using your head to hit things)
On the Chopping Block: Blicavs (stiff breeze will push him over)
Forgot to check my team on Friday, stuck with Leuenberger pllayng with Currie as sub. GAY!!!

  13. DreamKillaz

    April 2, 2013 at 4:34 pm

    Team Name: Dream Killerz
    Round 1 Score: 1922
DT Studs: Gablett (c), Gibbs, Wines, Viney, Pendel, Hartlett, Goodes, Rockliff
DT Duds: Danger (50), Lower (50), Robinson (21), Whitfield (47)
On the Chopping Block: Lower – assuming he will play tagging roles all year :(, Robinson, b/e through roof and was out there a while for 21.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: A lot of big names in my side(goddard, heppell, cox, fyfe, bartell) under performed this week and a couple were let downs. Rookie selection saved me. Probably going to trade Lower and Robinson later in the week, but also unsure of Karnezis :s but I think 66 is acceptable for him and will hopefully improve on that !

  14. DreamKillaz

    April 2, 2013 at 4:45 pm

1st world rookie problems, can only pick 3/5 for this round out of Kommer, O’Meara, Whitfield, Wines, Viney… GWS vs PORT, ESS vs MELB.. thinking O’Meara and Whitfield bench atm ??

  15. Aidan

    April 2, 2013 at 7:32 pm

elite draft tonight code 223787 30mins
    11 spots join up

  16. Tyler

    April 2, 2013 at 8:38 pm

    Team Name: Tylers Terror
    Round 1 Score: 1963
    DT Studs: Ablett,Swan,Gibbs,Rockliffe,Wines
    DT Duds: DANGERFIELD,Longer,Goddard,Robbo
On the Chopping Block: Longer, Most likely turning in to leuenberger if he is named this week.
    Vent/Brag/Whatever: rather average week.

  17. Angus

    April 2, 2013 at 9:15 pm

    Team Name: the red vests
    Round 1 Score: 2006
DT Studs: Gibbs, Stanton, wines, moloney, k jack
DT Duds: Kmitch, Zorko, Karnezis, Roughead (not at all aiming for him to be in round 23 squad, idk why he’s even here), Atley (see Roughead)
On the Chopping Block: Pittard, Stevenson is cheaper and just as likely to get games, cash generated will fund Karnezis>jjk
Rampe to Viney because I can.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: ok score considering, proud of premos, I know I could have done better but most excelled, midfield did great with exception of k Mitchell… No rage trades this week

  18. Jarrad

    April 2, 2013 at 9:18 pm

    Team Name: Stay Classy
    Round 1 Score: 1824
DT Studs: Gibbs, B. Goodes, Wines and Lockliff
DT Duds: Where do I start? Goddard, Newman, JPK, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Whitfield, Beams, Cox, Longer, Blicavs, Martin, Zorko
On the Chopping Block: Goddard, NEWMAN, Dangerfield, WHITFIELD, Beams, LONGER, Zorko
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Newman was a last minute inclusion for Vlastuin that I made using the mobile DT site on Thursday while I was at uni. I feel like I’m going to regret making that trade for a while. Dangerfield being tagged out of the game was a shock (I had put the VC loophole on him, imagine if Swan was a late withdrawal instead of Beams). Longer isn’t DT relevant even when he plays fairly well, Beams withdrawal gave me a 60 from Kommer and Whitfield was so outside in the first half that he might as well have been sitting in the stands. Sh*t week. I’m also wary of A. Goodes, J. Steven, Fyfe, Martin and Karnezis, they may not be part of my team if they have a few bad weeks.

  19. Jacob

    April 2, 2013 at 9:23 pm

    Zorko for Vickery
    K Mitchell for cotchin

    • Angus

      April 2, 2013 at 9:33 pm

Stick clear of Vickery. Full stop. Why even trade out Mitchell??? Arghhhh

      • Jacob

        April 2, 2013 at 9:48 pm

Vickery will go up in price and I m getting TRENT COTCHIN for mitchell

        • WastedOpportunity

          April 2, 2013 at 10:44 pm

And Cotchin’s price will go down and Kitchell’s price will go up. Therefore, you are wasting $$$

  20. Jacob

    Team name: Shostingwood
    Round 1 Score: 1944
Dt Studs: Ablett Pendlebury Murphy Rockliff Gibbs
Dt Duds: Atley Toumpas Smith Longer Zorko
On the Chopping Block: Zorko K Mitchell Longer Smith
Vent/Brag/Whatever: I got a good score for the round and I think I will get better as the year goes on. I still have a few smokies who might not work so they could be traded

  21. mufc

    April 2, 2013 at 10:49 pm

    Team name: Mufc Magic
    Round 1 score: 1926 -_-
Studs: ablett swan pendles wright jjkennedy gibbs
Duds: greene mitchell kennedy (the other one..) armstrong smith macaffer
Chopping block: armstrong to suban cause im concerned onn his js and zorko to monfries, i know its a bit early but zorko will drop again in price monfries is getting more mid time and takes on gws this week after killing melb last week
Vent/brag/whatever: wines and mitchell dilema caused a headache so annoyed that wines on bench and mitch on field but anyway…

    • EmeraldIllusion

      April 3, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I’d steer clear of Suban. He is that price for a reason. I’d recommend Pittard if you haven’t got him.

  22. Damien Wellington

    April 2, 2013 at 11:14 pm

    Team Name: Untouchables
    Round 1 Score:1935
    DT Studs: Gibbs,JJ Kennedy,Ablett,Swan,Cothchin,Wines,Goodes,
    DT Duds: DANGER,Zorko,Longer,Goddard,Franklin
    On the Chopping Block:Franklin,Sylvia,Danger,
Vent/Brag/Whatever:Wish i never looked at my team just before lockout!!!
Put k.Mitchell on field and viney on bench and traded Rockliffe for Franklin and traded S.Mitchell for danger!!!
would of got 2150 if it wasnt for my dam tweaking!!

  23. Jameoz23

    April 3, 2013 at 1:02 pm

  24. neum

    April 3, 2013 at 1:54 pm

    Team Name: M.I.A.
    Round 1 Score: 1973 (ranking 10323)
DT Studs: Gibbs, Goodes, Captain Ablett, Swan, Watson, Wines, Viney, Rockliff
DT Duds: Goddard, Heppel, Dangerfield, Zorko, Big Cox, Buddy, Martin
Special Mention: Shannon Byrnes. Never thought I would say that.
On the Chopping Block: Martin > Monfries and Longer > leuy + $114k in the bank or Kreuzer + change
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Well if that wasnt an 11 day rollercoaster I dont know what was. Last minute shuffles saw Monfries out and Zroko in. Gut feel says that was potentially the right call long term but I still see upside in Monfries. Any other year he wouldnt have got a look in under the usual GnR strategy but I cant see GnR working in the forward line this year. Aim was to be inside the top 10k after week 1 given I only decided to do DT again at the last minute so cant be too dissapointed I suppose. In unrelated news, still struggling to comprehend the top SC score for the week being in excess of 2600….

    • Dean

      April 3, 2013 at 2:01 pm

Given some of the huge scores some Rookies compiled, if you had the right premos (which I unfortunately didn’t), it’s not that surprising. The guy even had Buddy so could have pushed 2700 if he fired

  25. Nathan Duggan

    April 3, 2013 at 8:18 pm

Jasper Pittard or Nathan Bock ????
