My Team 2013: Version 2.1

Chat about your Assistant Coach ‘Team Picker’ team now in the lead up to AFL Fantasy opening for 2013.

myteam_assistantcoachMy Team Version 2.1 is here. While we still just have the assistant coach (the official opening of the game is Feb 1), the playing field has changed a little now that we know we have two trades every week – use them or lose them! This might make things a heap different for the way the game is played! Chat about your teams now!

Now that the Assisant Coach Team Picker is available for us to use, we can actually start putting our 2013 AFL Dream Team squads together knowing ALL of the official positions and prices for the game.

If you were a tightarse and didn’t subscribe to the Assistant Coach last year, then you can still use the Fanplanner over on FanFooty.

Make sure you post your team in an easy to read format to that people can easily see your squad and it’s positions. Also, it’s handy to chuck in there how much cash you have left. See the previous ‘My Team’ posts on how this has been done in the past.

Please be constructive with your comments. If you expect some advice on your team, make sure you help others! We’re a big happy family here at DT Talk!

Hi guys, not sure after reading your brilliant posts. Would love feedback from top 1000 coaches, the club I’d like to break into after years of trying. I was looking for balance & undervalued players after anchoring Swan& Cotchin. I’m also not yet convinced that DPP flexibility is a dead art, even with 2 trades p/week. Good luck everyone this year.

Nathan, check NicNat…. I believe he’s sitting out the early rounds with injury. Consider replacing him with Ryder if you still want the RUC/FWD DPP flexibility, but you’d also need to sub in the same (eg Hale, Stefan Martin, etc) into your FWD line to use the DPP option. Other RUC options would be Ben McEvoy & Sam Jacobs for NicNat.
I believe Varcoe is also in doubt through injury. You could consider Ace Cordy RUC/FWD DPP option who is only slgihtly dearer, which would work well with the Ryder/Hale/Martin sub into your RUC line. Alternatively, Hoskin-Elliott would be a straight FWD/MID swap for Varcoe using the spare cash that you have.

Thanks heaps! will look into that. Sam Rowe has my DPP in the fwd line but these are great suggestions!
