McCrappy Team

Firstly we’ve all done it. If you haven’t done it, you have at least thought about doing it and joked with your mates… so what bizarre teams have you thought about putting together. Join Calvin as he shows you some members he has in his McCrappy team.

Firstly we’ve all done it. If you haven’t done it, you have at least thought about doing it and joked with your mates… so what bizarre teams have you thought about putting together. Join Calvin as he shows you some members he has in his McCrappy team.

Backs:
Ashley McGrath headlines this McCrappy team in my backline, with the likes of Adam McPhee  playing a supporting role. McCrappy by name, McCrappy by nature! Shaun McKernan is a rookie in here though that has showed some promise this year and will most likely be captain in this average team.

Mids:

Jarrad and Mark McVeigh get a run in the guts here along side Jordie McKenzie and Ben McGlynn. Patty McGinnity and Luke McPharlin fills up the other spots. Not the greatest midfield going around, and with me now wishing there were some guys in the AFL called McSwan or McAblett.

Rucks:

Dont actually look that bad. Ok, they’re bad but could be worse. Ben McEvoy and Hamish McIntosh are a solid combo, but certainly no Cox and Sandi combo.

Forwards:

Ben McKinley makes his first dream team for 2011 due to his name and the theme I’m trying to get going here. Teams like this even give guys like him a chance. Who is he anyway? Andrew McQualter and Sydney rookie McNeil also makes and appearance.

And with about 3.5mil in my bank and a predicted score of 1,150 each week… it’s going to be a long season.

So what teams have you thought about making in the past??

Lol, that’s good. Nice team, looking at top 10 ranking?
I’ve always wanted to make an auto-fill team. They’re always so shit.

    How about a G team?

B: Goddard, Gibbs, Glass, Grover, Guerra, Gilbert, Goldsack

C: Gaff, Griffen, Gysberts, Gram, Greenwood, Gilbee

    R: Goldstein, Griffin

F: Green, Goodes, Gartlett, Grant, Gunston, Grundy, Griffiths

haha, not too bad, Goddard, Gibbs, Green, Goodes will be the stars.

And lets call the team “Golden Gherkins”.

Imagine if you had to pick the LOWEST scoring team possible- no donuts allowed. It would be as hard as picking the highest scoring team. Of course you must spend up to within 10k of the salary cap.

Perhaps you could find room for Shaw & Sylvia.
Can you imagine the “legit,” commentary on a certain passage of play…..

Sylvia finally gets a kick, goes to Swallow, 2 Cox, finds Ball, then back to Dick who hits Sidebottom. Great play! Looks like Sylvia might be going off….. yeah, for Shaw!
      No wait,
Dick gets grabbed in a ferocious tackle, Sylvia plays on & takes it straight up the corridor and hits Ball. Great passage of play!
Now Sylvia goes off again- Blood Rule! Oh boy, that’s a nasty gash!
Oh no! Dick’s gone down, but its ok, gets straight back up again.
Dick is excited as Sylvia is ready to get back on!

DEF: Rawlings, Birchall, Grima, Firrito, McMahon, Thompson, Garland (Webberley, Collier, Davies)

MID: Robinson, Moles, Sherman, Lonergan, Hislop, Harwood (Joseph, Iles, Weller)

    RUC: Graham, Bellchambers (Moran, McCulloch)

FWD: Green, N Riewoldt , J Riewoldt, L, Jones, Cornelius, J Gilbee, Archer (Howe, Callinan, Burbury)

I cheated a bit by adding Firrito, McMahon, Thompson and Moran but they all played for the devils in the VFL a few years ago. The team wouldnt have been filled otherwise though.

    February 21, 2011 at 12:57 am

This is something I have thought long and hard about, Making a leauge to score the LOWEST score over all of the year.

It would work this way, 1 person would need to be in control of the whole thing, Everyone logs in with a seperate email address and then gives their address to the one organising person along with pass word to their “DT duds” side, so the organiser could score every week.

The way scoring would work would be somewhere along the lines of this.
You are aiming for the lowest score overall for the week and all league games would be aligned with AFL DT site, finals would be notified via Emai, run same as DT website. it would just be lowest score wins rather than highest.
Each team would be allowed a maximum of 2 dohnuts per week, with each aditional dohnut adding 75 points to your overall score.

The tallying of dohnuts is ths only reason why the organiser/ajudicator would need everyones emails and passwords. Hence the reason why you make it seperate to your gun team.

I would love to organise one of these leagues but I was never sure how many people would be up for it.
If your keen send me a message at Team_Lactose@live.com.au if we can get 16 i will make up a league and pread sheet and will run it for this year.

*THERE WILL BE NO MONEY INVOVLED AND NO GAMBLING ENCOURAGED, PLEASE USE A SEPERATE EMAIL FROM YOUR GUN SIDE SO THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH PASSING ON YOUR EMAIL AND PASSWORD FOR SCORING PURPOSES.

    • Monaco

      February 21, 2011 at 1:00 am

OH yerr, captains will still score double, so you will need to choose your captain wisely. as for that everything else is the same. all rules will be finalised by bounce down of carlton v Richmond of RND1.
But there wont be many more I wouldnt think.

    • Monaco

      February 21, 2011 at 1:06 am

Also an up to date ladder would be sent out by myself each weak via email so we all know how we are going. with percentage, points for and against ect. once again inline with DT site. (obvoisly the opposite)

Im not expecting this to take off but if I get more than 15 emails I will have to limit it to the first 15.

      Lets see how it works!!!1
